Quarantine is used to keep someone who might have been exposed to COVID – 19 away from others. It does not mean an individual has COVID – 19, but that they are needing to monitor their health in case they develop symptoms. Quarantine length will be determined by public health, but typically lasts 14 days. Isolation is used to separate people infected with COVID – 19 from those who are not infected. If it has been determined that quarantine or isolation is necessary, you will be notified and guided on the next steps.
