Grace College Sponsors Pam Tebow Visit to Warsaw
Pam Tebow, the mother of Heisman Trophy winner and baseball star Tim Tebow, is coming to Warsaw, Ind. on Thursday, May 10. The community is invited to Wagon Wheel Theatre for “Celebrate Mother’s Day with Pam Tebow Night.” Tebow will speak at 7:30 p.m. Grace College is the platinum event sponsor.
Pam Tebow is a much sought-after speaker, having appeared on Good Morning America and as the keynote speaker at the National Pro-life rally in Washington, D.C., earlier this year. Mrs. Tebow is the recipient of many awards, including Eagle Forum’s “Woman of the Year” and “Witness in the Public Square” in 2012, The Commission for Women’s “Inspiring Woman of the Year” in 2013 and “Extraordinary Woman of the Year” in 2014.
Pam is passionate about encouraging women to trust the Lord with all their hearts and all their lives and to use the influence God has given them to eternally impact the world. She speaks worldwide about why she chose life for her son “Timmy,” as the family calls him. Following an ESPN interview where she revealed she had been advised to abort Timmy, Pam and Tim were featured in a Super Bowl commercial that celebrated family and life, which, according to a Barna survey, resulted in 5.5 million people “having cause to rethink their stand on abortion.”
The daughter of an army colonel, Pam Tebow lived all over the world until attended the University of Florida and graduated with honors with degrees in journalism and communication. While in college, Pam met her husband, Bob. The Tebows have five children, including Heisman Trophy winner, NFL football player, ESPN commentator, and now professional baseball player, Tim Tebow.
The Tebow family lived for a number of years as missionaries in the Philippines, where Bob continues to have an ongoing ministry and orphanage. The Tebows also have ongoing ministries in several semi-closed Asian countries where they encourage their national partners, speak at conferences, and support orphanages, Bible schools and a safe house for rescued girls.
May 10 is sure to be a night to remember. Tebow’s remarks will be an encouragement for the entire family, and a great way to celebrate Mother’s Day with the special women in your life.
The event is expected to sell out quickly; advance ticket purchases are advised. General admission tickets are $25. VIP tickets are $100 and include a private, pre-event reception with Pam Tebow. The reception will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center at Grace College. Attendees will meet Pam and have their picture taken with her while enjoying appetizers and beverages.
