DeeAnna Muraski Assumes Warsaw Rotary Presidency

Thursday, July 13, 2017

DeeAnna Muraski, associate director of internships at Grace College, was recently named president of the Warsaw Rotary Club. Muraski assumed the position on July 1.

Muraski, a two-year Rotarian, is honored to be the youngest female elected as president of Warsaw Rotary. “My strengths lie in strategic planning,” said Muraski. “I look forward to serving our community by transforming ideas into reality. I feel blessed that the club members have entrusted me with the leadership of the group and I will work very hard to do my best for them.”

Service is the heart of Rotary International’s mission.  According to Muraski, “Rotary utilizes the synergy of area business leaders to provide service to the community where it’s needed most.”  This includes a variety of service projects and events, some which are annual and some which are unique to a particular community and club.

“For instance, we are currently working on ‘Rotary Park.’ The park will revitalize and beautify an unused area of the community,” said Muraski.  She reports that more than 70% of the $30,000 required has already been raised by Rotarians.

Muraski is also looking forward to making plans to celebrate the club’s 100 year anniversary in 2019.  “Now is a great time to be a Rotarian, and to be a member of this wonderful community.  I encourage others to consider joining our club and becoming part of a great tradition of service in Warsaw,” said Muraski.
