At Grace, we do academics differently. Our college programs include more than 90 majors and minors in the fields of arts and sciences, business, behavioral sciences, education, and ministry. Many of our degrees originate at a table with industry professionals. We ask them what skills they look for in job applicants and build our programs to meet their needs, ensuring that you are the most qualified applicant when you apply for your dream job. 

We are passionate about providing you with innovative environments, emerging technologies, and applied learning experiences to help prepare you for a career. In fact, we have a 96% career placement rate, and several of our programs rank nationally for career exam pass rates.

Nursing Program in Indiana

School of Arts & Sciences

Quick Facts: 

Our nursing students boast a 100% Boards Exam NCLEX Pass Rate. 

Worship Arts students are trained in a cutting-edge recording studio, a fully outfitted performance space, and a high-tech MIDI lab which was created with the input and expertise of Sweetwater Sound personnel. 

Grace science students conduct their labs and attend classes in an $8 million dollar state-of-the-art science complex with a classroom-in-the-round, an 850-gallon hexagon aquarium, and an augmented reality sandbox. 

Students of arts and sciences are accepted into paid summer research internships in top programs like the Mayo Clinic, The Van Andel Research Institute, Purdue University, and the University of Illinois. This past school year, 88% of student internships were paid internships.

Alumni spotlights: 

Ashley Durand, a 2013 journalism major, won our 2017 young alumni of the year award in 2017 for her role as a publicist at Focus on the Family. At Focus, Ashley represents the organization to the media, writes press releases, manages podcast recordings, blogs, and facilitates internal communications.

Kelly Manahan, a 1990 pre-med graduate, now serves as director of gynecological oncology at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Atlanta. 

Paul Blankley, a 2017 math major, studied Computational Science at Harvard after graduating from Grace. He then went on to launch his own business, Ex Quanta, an artificial intelligence development studio.

Karly Poyner, a 2018 Communication major, is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Memphis University where she was awarded a full-tuition doctoral scholarship. She received multiple full-ride offers from some of the country’s best programs. Now, she is on her way to a successful career placement.

In the Grace College accounting department, our students’ CPA pass rate ranked in the top 7% in the nation among smaller college programs.

99% of recent graduates in the business school achieved successful career placement within 6 months of graduating.

$10,000+ is given away to an aspiring entrepreneur every year at our annual Business Plan Competition. 

Alumni spotlights: 

Rep. Jim Banks, a 2013 MBA graduate from Grace, became a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, serving Indiana’s Third Congressional District which includes Grace College in Winona Lake, IN. 

Laura (Hoke) Cok, a 2015 Business major, landed a job at a local orthopaedic company, DePuy Synthes, after an internship she completed during her undergraduate studies. Only a few years into her professional career, Cok donated $30,000 to build a school in Tanzania with Compassion International. 

Jamin Parker graduated from Grace in 2015 and immediately landed a job with Mercedes Benz in Atlanta, GA. He now works as a Sales Commissions team Manager with Bazaarvoice — the world’s largest shopper rating network.

Mental Health College Student Health Counseling Center

School of Behavioral Science

Quick Facts: 

Our M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling was one of the first Christian college programs of its type to get CACREP accreditation.

100% of the faculty in the School of Behavioral Science have field experience which is integrated into the classroom experience. 

Our area is home to the Bowen Center, Indiana’s largest Community Mental Health Center, and many other behavioral/mental health ministries like Lifeline Youth and Family Services, and White’s Residential and Family Services. 

Alumni spotlights: 

Drew Miller got two of his three counseling degrees at Grace College. After he completed his doctorate, he went on to start his own counseling practice, Aberdeen Group counseling center in Fort Wayne, where he takes pride in offering quality counseling to clients and making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals.

Captain Joel Beam was a criminal justice major at Grace. Now he is the captain of the Warsaw Police Department, and he believes he is called to do the biblical work of law enforcement. Every day, Joel prays for renewed strength on the job and seeks to make a positive difference in our community.

Ellie Price, a 2015 psychology major, landed a practicum at UC San Diego Medical Center in the burn unit after graduating to get the experience she needs to become a Child Life Specialist.

School of Education at Grace College

Quick Facts: 

Grace School of Education students earned the highest Indiana CORE Elementary Reading and Special Education with the Mild Intervention licensure exam scores.

100% of the recent Education graduates achieved successful career placement within 6 months of graduation.

100% of Grace education graduates were rated effective or highly effective by Indiana principals. 

Alumni spotlights: 

Aubrey McQuade is a 2015 elementary education graduate who has taught in some of the most fragile contexts in the world — that includes the overcrowded and unsanitary refugee camps in Moria, Greece, where McQuade serves with TeachBeyond Borders.

Elizabeth (Betsey) Vastbinder, a 2009 graduate, works as a social studies and Spanish teacher at Lakeview Middle School in Warsaw. Only five years into her career, Betsey received the Teacher of the Year award for Warsaw Community Schools in 2014.

Corey Smith graduated from the Grace School of Education in 2004 and was so moved by the charge to teach as a moral practitioner, he founded Smith Academy for Excellence, an all-boys charter school in Fort Wayne, IN, which develops elite scholars of responsibility, dignity, character, and service. 

Ministry Degree biblical language Sam Erwin

School of Ministry Studies 

Quick Facts: 

Our ministry studies faculty have a combined total of 250+ years of experience in practical and educational ministry. 

Our ministry professors are well-published! Just to name a few…Dr. Harmon has published nine books in ten years, Dr. Bowald is the general editor of the Christian’s Scholar Review, and Seminary Dean Dr. Freddy Cardoza recently edited “Christian Education,” a 400-page work being used in classrooms nationwide.  

Alumni spotlights: 

Sam Erwin, a recent ministry studies graduate, pastors at Broadway Christian Chapel. His love for coffee led him to launch an outreach opportunity for at-risk high school students at Turning Point Educational Center.  

Dan White graduated with his M.Div. in 1976. During his time at Grace, he tragically lost his mom — an event that changed his life forever. After more than 35 years in church ministry, Dan returned to the higher education scene. He now works at Lancaster Bible College as a Student Caregiver. 

Janet Minnix, a 2017 graduate of the master of arts in ministry with a concentrating in Women’s Leadership Studies, served with Women of Grace USA, a national ministry of the Charis Fellowship for 30 years — the last 17 years as president.
